Bibliotekportalen (Library Portal)
The Acquisitions Division of the University of Bergen Library is responsible for acquiring books, journals and other media for the whole University of Bergen Library system.
Requests for the acquisition of new books or periodicals should be sent to the respective faculty libraries.
The Head of Acquisitions is Ole Gunnar Evensen.
The Acquisitions Division consists of 3 departments:
- The book department: acquires foreign books. The e-mail address is: bok@ub.uib.no
- The serials department: electronic journals and reference databases. The journals are acquired by subscription, exchange, deposit (Norwegian titles), and gifts. The e-mail address is: tidsskrift@ub.uib.no
- Bergen Open Research Archive (BORA): an open institutional repository where researchers from the University can self-archive their research documentation.
