           Keeping Memory Alive            Leonardo da Vinci Swish Logo

Keeping Memory Alive is a mobility project within the Leonardo da Vinci Programme funded by the European Commission. The project's full title also explains the content:

 "Keeping Memory Alive – Transcription, Protection, Description and Dissemintaion of Old and Rare Documents on Electronic Support. Practises for Preserving Digital Content –  Extensible Markup Language Encoding Scheme, Book Cataloguing and Classification and Dissemination Marketing Methods."

The five partners are
from Norway:  The University of Bergen Library,
from Romania:
The Central Library of "Transilvania" University of Brasov,
                     Central Library of The Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest,
                     Central Library of The University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest,
from England:
University of Exeter Library & Information Service.

 "Keeping Memory Alive" started in 2004. In November the University of Bergen Library visited their partners in Romania. Here is the the report from their visit (only in Norwegian).
