The enclosed programme has the characteristics of a final programme,
but since the titles are to some extent the result of my creative
thinking, you may get surprises as the event unfolds itself.
As before, we will have an informal meeting with an abundance
of Q&A and other interventions during the sessions.
The main objective is to advance our professional work and European
collaboration in our field. Therefore form is second to this objective.
Anne Asserson and I are looking forward very much to welcoming
you all to Bergen. The weather here change a lot, and may do so
even during your short stay. We therefore ask you to bring some
warm clothes and an umbrella - an obligatory personal item here,
as you may already know. Those of you who want to inspect the
weather forecast in more detail, will find some useful information
by looking up the CRIS home page at http://www.ub.uib.no/avdeling/fdok/cris/
In the evening of Thursday the 5th and after the closing
of a meeting of the Programme Committee of the CRIS '98 Conference
held at your hotel, you may join an informal get-together at
the same place at approx. 20.00 hrs. Ask the reception for the
location of the event.
As previously mentioned there will be a conference fee of NOK
500. We ask you to send the money using the following bank account:

should be addressed to: University Library, University of Bergen,
5020 Bergen, and be marked CRIS.
