Practical information (Reservation)

Meetings overview
The EuroCRIS Meeting will be two full days November 1,2, preceded (October 31) by a day with a CERIF workshop (open to all) a CRIS2002 Programme Committee Meeting (by invitation of the Programme Committee Chair) and a Meeting of the Planning Group we set up in Amsterdam (by invitation of the Planning Committee Chair)

(a) The main meeting will take place at Coseners' House, the CLRC-RAL study /conference centre with modern buildings (seminar roms and accommodation) around an old house (used for dining and some accommodation) on the banks of the River Thames in Abingdon. We can all be together for the 2 days encouraging discussions and interchange of ideas.

(b) Coseners' House has internet access; I am trying to arrange multiple connections in the main meeting room so people can connect to our ethernet and use PPTP to tunnel back to their own sites and thence to their own email, filestores etc . Of course dataprojector facilities are available. Remember UK uses a 3-pin electrical outlet so bring converters for your notebook PCs.

(c) Unfortunately parts of Coseners' House are being used for other meetings on 31st. I have arranged for the meetings that day to take place at CLRC-RAL with transport arranged to/from Coseners' House.

(d) To find out more about CLRC-RAL and Coseners' House see http://www.clrc.ac.uk ; travel information is under 'how to find us'

Accomodation
http://www.cclrc.ac.uk/Activity/ACTIVITY=CosenersHouse
It appears that there is scheduled some refurbishment at that time so we may not have exactly the rooms I would choose (with views of the river etc), but we are guaranteed 26 rooms.

Cost (full board) is 50-75 GBP per night depending on room.

Claire Corcoran, my PA, will organise a webform for accommodation details, any dietary peferences and to collect information on how you propose to travel so we can help if you get stuck anywhere!

Should you have any query please contact me at my email address; Claire sees my email and will intercept / answer when I am not in the office

I am looking forward to welcoming you to CLRC-RAL
K
