CERIF-2000 and vocabularies |
Andrei S. Lopatenko |
We need to develop the better vocabularies. The CERIF-2000 standardize use of some
vocabularies. Some of
them are very poor. Each country and research community as usual has own vocabularies for research areas, etc. Ortelius is not enough to implement CRIS. Of course, for data exchange we should have shared vocabularies like Ortelius. Need to define how to use specific vocabularies to implement specific CRIS based on CERIF-2000 andMapping local vocalulary to an exchange format. -Establishing vocabularies for Research |

In CERIF-2000 implementation guide (not standard), then, how can we implement CERIF-2000 compatible data exhange between different CRIS, with different vocabularies. -Issues for implementation, the full model, the metadata and the vocabularies. |
| 1430-1500 | Standardize metadata schema. | Andrei S. Lopatenko |
We have SMGL DTD for encoding research data in CERIF (old) as a part of ERGO But we have no metadata schema for encoding CERIF-2000 metadata describing research. We need to have it for data exchange data presentation for Semantic Web and advanced Information Retrieval solutions etc | |
